We are the Howdy Neighbors Days Committee, which organizes Pierce City “Howdy Neighbor Days – Festival”, (a Non-Profit Organization registered with State of Missouri Tax ID #19221517, Federal ID #81-0643816). The Committee consists of a group of volunteers from the community, which relies on Donations & help from our Neighbors to fund the festival. Our goal is to organize the best Festival possible to lift everyone's Morale & Spirits while providing a Fun & Safe Event, with Crafts, Food, Games and Entertainment for the enjoyment of All our Friends & Neighbors.

The festival known as Pierce City Festival until being renamed in 1984, through a contest at school, to Howdy Neighbor Days Fall Festival. It was held yearly on Main Street until the May 4, 2003, Tornado destroying the main part of town. We then moved with support of community to the South Park located off South Elm & Park Road. The Park makes it more festive, cooler, with a Creek running east/west on north side of park. Park road (which we call the HND Midway) allows for us to set Booths & Vendors on both sides to have steady traffic, so no bad spots anywhere. We put a bridge (the HND Bridge) across the creek for access to additional space thanks to St Mary's Church for Parking, along with our mainstays the Beer Garden by St Mary's KOC, Funnel Cakes by St, Mary's Home & School, Tater Twisters by St Mary's Home & School, Polish Sausages by Pulaski Field KOC, Decatur Lodge Rib Dinners, and many more Craft & Food Booths.

Missouri Fairs & Festivals Association dubbed Howdy Neighbor Days Festival "The Biggest Little Festival in Southwest Missouri" in 2004 after visit from MAFF President. We have Folks from the four-state area & further with approximate attendance estimated 10000 for the four-day event.

It's a great event for our local non-profit organizations to have fund raising booths to support their cause.
